Here are the latest speculations about the Samsung Galaxy S7.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Processor

A report from Reuters earlier in October said that Samsung Electronics Co Ltd will utilize Qualcomm Inc's mobile processors in its upcoming flagship Galaxy S smartphones. This was reported by South Korea's Electronic Times citing anonymous industry sources.

According to the publication, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chips will be used for the Galaxy S7. The handset is expected to be released in early 2016 in the United States and China. The tech giant's own Exynos processors will power Galaxy S7 smartphones sold in other markets.

A report from SamMobile claimed that a third variant for the Galaxy S7 is also in the works. The model will reportedly be equipped with the Exynos 7422 chip, the processor originally rumored for the Galaxy Note 5.

The company stated earlier this year that there's a possibility that it will use Qualcomm processors in their future products, Reuters noted.

"We have to use the best engines to make our products competitive, which is why we opted to use our own chips," said JK Shin, head of Samsung Mobile, as quoted by PC Advisor. "But we may very well end up using products from Qualcomm again in the next Galaxy phone."

Samsung Galaxy S7 Design & Display

Softpedia claimed that the Galaxy S7 will probably come with a magnesium alloy unibody, with "a surface as smooth as the aluminum that Apple utilizes with its current iPhones." Magnesium alloy is said to be bendable and lighter compared to aluminum alloy.

The device is expected to have two size variants: a 5.2-inch model and a 5.8-inch version, iDigitalTimes wrote.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Other Rumored Specs

Other expected features for the Galaxy S7 are 3GB of RAM and a 20-megapixel ISOCELL primary camera, iDigitalTimes noted.

G4Games wrote that Samsung is working on a dual camera setup, but the tech might not be ready by year's end. The tech giant will likely spend a lot of time developing the tech to make sure that it will be implemented properly in the handset.

A concept video from SCAVidsHD speculated that Samsung's next smartphone will have two front-facing speakers, a USB-C port, a 2K display, and a screen that extends over the edges of the device.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Price

PC Advisor estimated that the Galaxy S7 will be priced around $1014. Value Walk wrote that the device will likely be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in late February next year.

Remember that these are all speculations for now and Samsung is yet to issue an official statement about the Galaxy S7.
