Warner Bros. is making steps in searching for the perfect helmer for "The Flash" movie in the person of best-selling author Seth Grahame-Smith.

As DC's Cinematic Universe continues to expand, more movie adaptations are introduced which includes a "stand-alone" film for the scarlet-suited Speedster popularly known as "The Flash."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is currently under negotiations with Grahame-Smith  who made a name in writing up genre mash-up best-sellers like "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies."

The outlet further noted that it would not be the first time Grahame-Smith involves himself with the entertainment studio should he decide to take on the role of "The Flash" helmer since he is already writing Warner's "Lego Batman."

However, the said project can be considered his feature directorial debut in the big screen.

Of course, Warner Bros. would not consider him fit for the job if he did not have any experience in directing at all.

According to THR, Grahame-Smith helmed a couple of episodes of MTV's "The Hard Times of RJ Berger," a show he co-created and produced with David Katzenberg.

In addition, the movie about the iconic DC Entertainment hero would also receive treatment from the "Lego Movie" duo Christopher Miller and Phil Lord who are also aiming to create a solo movie for "Star Wars'" Han Solo.

The report also revealed that Ezra Miller portrayal of Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash would make his first appearance in the DC Cinematic Universe via a cameo in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Miller's The Flash is rumored to have a "more prominent" participation in DC and Warner Bros.' "Justice League Part 1" due in theaters on November 16, 2017.

"The Flash" has already made his presence known in the small screen thanks to CW as well as Grant Gustin who plays the title role.

According to Cinema Blend, Barry Allen is a forensic scientist who was struck by lightning in his lab which imbued him with super speed.

"The Flash" movie has also been given a release date set for March 3, 2018 and is considered as one of DC Extended Universe's more unique entries.

Should its TV counterpart be still airing by the time the movie is released, Cinema Blend believes it would be the same as the overlapping of "Smallville" and "Superman Returns" back in 2006 when the audience sees two versions of the story of a single superhero.
