On Tuesday afternoon, Microsoft issued an advisory to its users noting that the Xbox Live is having some online network problems.

Though already updated since it came back online, the post noted that the problem prevented some people from signing into the Xbox Live.

"Our best engineers are working to fix the issue as quickly as possible. Thanks for being patient while we get everything back to normal," Microsoft earlier said.

The consoles affected were Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows 10 PC and other devices.

Despite the problem, Gamespot noted that things were normal for Purchase and Content Usage and Social and Gaming services.

In an update, the same report said that Microsoft already informed users that Xbox Live is back online and again "up and running."

Below is the current Xbox Live status as per the Microsoft post:

* Xbox Live Core Servicesup and running

* Purchase and Content Usageup and running

* Websiteup and running

* TV, Music and Videoup and running

* Social and Gamingup and running

As for the Xbox 360 IGN application, Microsoft said the company is already aware of the issue and are working to fix it.

"Hey Xbox members, are you seeing an error screen and having to press 'Retry' in order to launch the IGN application, or experiencing latency when playing content in the app? We are aware of the issue and working with our partner to find a fix," added Microsoft.

In addition, Express said that it remained a mystery on what caused the problem.

"No other issues are being reported using apps or multiplayer functions and many fans who were already logged in are not being affected," added the same report.

Quoting one user, Express said that the problem mainly dealt with signing in on the page.

"Wanted to play Destiny but can't get past the sign in page, getting a bunch of error messages whenever I try," the user explained.

There were also a number of gamers who asked why the Xbox Live is down with them receiving this reply from the Xbox team: "We have a sign in issue at the moment. Is that what you're running into trouble with?"

According to Express, Xbox Live gamers asked Microsoft to return their money because they had to endure a few hours without any connection.

"Gamers have got accustomed to online services going down with fans suffering hours without Xbox services back in August," added the same report.

Now, players are hoping that the same issue will not happen again as it has affected their gaming experience.
