David Beckham is a strict father to his three sons, but he is much softer with his only daughter, 4-year-old Harper.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the former professional footballer said that he has a different standard of rules for him and wife Victoria Beckham's boys: Brooklyn (16), Romeo (13), and Cruz (10).

"I have no power with that little girl - no power whatsoever," Beckham told the news outlet while promoting his H&M Modern Essentials campaign at Gemma restaurant in New York City.

This probably explains Beckham's several sweet photos of himself and Harper on Instagram, with one snapshot featuring him being "beautified" by the little girl. He also has a tattoo on the back of his neck honoring his youngest child that says "Pretty Lady," situated above a previous tattoo that reads "Harper."

However, the 40-year-old English hunk insisted that he doesn't have a favorite child. "I love all my children, of course, equally. But I'm definitely stricter with the boys than I am Harper, which gets me in trouble with my wife of course," he told Entertainment Tonight.

Beckham, who has been married with the former "Spice Girls" member for more than 16 years now, said that "nothing comes in the way" of his family, Entertainment Tonight noted. In August, Beckham defended their parenting style when a former midwife criticized Harper's use of a pacifier at four years of age. Daily Mail reported that the Beckham couple is "putting Harper's wellbeing at risk" by giving the child a dummy.

"Why do people feel they have the right to criticize a parent about their own children without having any facts ?? Everybody who has children knows that when they aren't feeling well or have a fever you do what comforts them best and most of the time it's a pacifier." Beckham wrote on Instagram. "So those who criticize think twice about what you say about other people's children because actually you have no right to criticize me as a parent."

Victoria, 41, also talked about how she and her husband raise their kids in Vogue Australia's August 2015 issue.

"The three boys love football like their dad: they love all sport, not just football," she said, as quoted by the Australian Women's Weekly. "And they're into so many other things. They love art, they're very creative, very arty. Brooklyn loves photography, he's got a really great eye."

According to the former pop star, she's not sure whether her children will follow their parents' footsteps, but at the end of the day, she thinks that "what everyone wants for their kids is just for them to be happy," Victoria concluded, as quoted by Australian Women's Weekly.
