"The Flash" star Grant Justin reveals new official image and other details of upcoming new season of the CW TV adaptation of the 'fastest' DC comic book superhero.

Taking to Twitter, the 25-year-old actor-singer gave his followers an exclusive first-look at a never-before-seen official image, captioned: "Exclusive first look at an official image for #TheFlashSeason2. We're back Tuesday, October 6 at 8pm. #DareToDefy"

Aside from the new image, fans are treated to a special report from Screen Rant that features some spoilers for the show's new season.

According to the outlet, the zooming superhero would be experiencing some unexpected twists in his story which would involve alternate time lines, parallel universes and even time travel, leaving non-DC comic book fans baffled at the new season's storyline.

Meanwhile, a report from Comic Book revealed that the season premiere has been given the title "The Man Who Saved Central City," though there was no word about the synopsis of the episode yet.

In the season 1 finale episode, Justin's Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash and his Central City pals were last seen facing off against Atom-Smasher and Captain Cold while getting his head around the fact that there is a parallel universe and another Earth somewhere.

Meanwhile, Den of Geek revealed that the new season would also mean a new costume for the Speedster, with minute details that only "The Flash" fans would be able to discern.

"Notice anything different about this Flash costume? If you said that the logo background is now the more comic book accurate white instead of the red that we had in season one, you win!" the outlet declared, referring to this photo.

Aside from that, the outlet also noted that "Masters of Sex" actor Teddy Sears was chosen to portray Jay Garrick a.k.a. the original Golden Age Flash.

"Having Jay Garrick come onto the show was one of our earliest ideas. It is so exciting, as we rush into season two, that we finally get to bring the Crimson Comet to life. We couldn't imagine anyone more suited to play the original Flash than Teddy," explained "The Flash" showrunner Andrew Kreisberg.

CW also paid homage to the 1961 comic book "The Flash" #123 by revealing Garrick's costume in a specially-made franchise art.

While a new addition to the show is major news, the Screen Rant still believes that The Flash's power source, the Speed Force, would still be hold the spotlight as it paves the way to the revelation of the extent of the superhero's powers.
