If you caught Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell as Captain Cold and Heatwave in last season's "The Flash", their tandem would have brought a lot of nostalgia for their con life in "Prison Break" a few years ago, as brothers who would do anything for each other.

It seems that fans weren't the only ones who missed the hit series, either.

Deadline reported that Fox has greenlighted a "Prison Break" sequel with a limited 10-episode arc.

Both Miller and Purcell are returning to reprise their roles as Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows.

Fox's Dana Walden said that the "bit of a sequel" will pick up several years after the end of the series.

But Miller's Scofield died in the straight-to-video finale, right?

As it is with TV Shows, there will be explanations as to why things happen as they do, and Walden said that the sequel will be "a logical and believable explanation to why the characters are alive and still moving around the world."

She also said, "The brothers and some of the iconic characters will be back, and it will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series for a new audience."

While the return of Michael and Linc excites "Prison Break" fans, what will happen to "Legends of Tomorrow" where both stars are also committed to main roles?

Geeks of Doom said that they have been assured that filming for "Prison Break" will in no way interfere their "Legends of Tomorrow" involvement.

Tech Times reported that although the first two seasons of "Prison Break" were highly acclaimed, and the last two were only so-so, the show's steady airing on Netflix has raised its popularity over the years.

The ratings also raised significantly, which the outlet thought may be the reason Fox decided to give the series another shot.

There is no confirmation yet as to who else will be returning, but the show will be in the hands of its original creator, Paul Scheuring.

It's safe to say that the series will be in good hands.

Variety reported the the project is set to begin early next year and is considered for a summer release, as Miller and Purcell are also busy with their CW fall series, "Legends of Tomorrow".

Who among the Fox River Eight members do you want to see again on the sequel?
