Kelly Osbourne has apologized for her racist remarks against the Latino community while discussing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on "The View."

Osbourne, 30, was a guest co-host on the talk show. The discussion is in light of Trump's leading status in the national polls despite his offensive statements against Mexican immigrants. At one point, Osbourne said, as quoted by Fox News Latino, "If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?"

The British singer-songwriter's co-hosts, who were taken aback by her statement, tried to stop Osbourne from speaking any further, but she added, "In the sense that ... you know what I mean? But I'm saying that in L.A., they always ..." as reported by Fox News Latino.

Osbourne was then interrupted by her co-host Rosie Perez, who has Puerto Rican blood.

"Latinos are not the only people who do that," Perez said, as quoted by the news outlet. In response, Osbourne insisted that she didn't mean it and that she is "not a part" of the argument.

Before the show ended, Perez apologized to Osbourne for being "overly sensitive," adding that the latter is on their side and that only Trump deserves her contempt, Fox News Latino added.

Later on, Perez tweeted: "My apologies @Kelly Osbourne, I took your point wrong-#Trump #Latinos. My bad. You're heart is so pure & righteous. I adore you." On Facebook, Osbourne also penned her own apology to the people she offended.

"I want to start by saying I ALWAYS take responsibility for my actions. In this particular case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT," she wrote on the social media site.

Osbourne continued, "I whole-hearted f***ed up today. I don't want to bulls*** anyone with lame excuses. Although, I was stopped mid-sentence by Rosie and couldn't finish my point I will not let Rosie take responsibility for my words. I should have known better as I was on 'The View' and it was live. I've learned a very valuable lesson. It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole. By the way I clean my own f***ing toilets."

Osbourne's remarks came after she publicly called out former "Fashion Police" co-host Giuliana Rancic for the latter's comments against Zendaya Coleman's hairdo at the Oscars, PEOPLE noted. Osbourne departed "E! News" in February, saying that she does not forgive racism.

Rancic recently announced that she is leaving "E! News," with Maria Menounos set to fill the TV host's position.
