The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is now believed to be announced by the end of August in a New York City event.

When it comes out in the market, Phone Arena said this bigger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge will almost be the same like as the Note 5 in terms of hardware. It is also believed to do away of the stylus but instead has "a side-sloping panel."

The same report also took note that the rumoured price of the device is around $880 for the 32GB variant. The price is indeed a bit pricier, but it could be worth the extra amount because of its large screen display.

This is still a more affordable and cheaper amount than the price tag of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge which is worth about $936, according to TechnoBuffalo.

"Then again, it's possible the company is looking to lower its prices across the board after reporting another disappointing quarter of sales this week," added the same report.

The said device is believed to be available starting Aug. 21, almost the same time as the Galaxy Note 5 which was reported to be limited to some countries like Korea and the United States.

GSM Arena reported that the new device will have dual-edge display curves on a 5.7-inch diagonal screen.

"This one will come with a Snapdragon 808 SoC, which by the time of launch will likely be the manufacturer's third most powerful, behind the S820 and S810 models," the report added

The handset is also believed to come with a 32GB memory, a 16MP primary camera that is capable of OIS and 2160p video recording and a 5MP front camera perfect for selfies.

GSM Arena added that the newest in Samsung's Galaxy S series will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery and will run on Android's Lollipop 5.1.1 when it becomes available in the market.

In addition, CNET said that S6 Edge Plus would feature a design similar to that of its predecessor, with the exception of tapered sides.

Phone Arena said that the S6 Edge Plus will have dimensions of 154.45 x 75.80 x 6.85 mm and a 5.5-inch display. This is reportedly a taller and wider version of the S6 Edge, which is 142.1 x 70.1 x 7 mm.

Geeky Gadgets also reported that the upcoming device will have 3 GB of RAM and have additional storage options of 64 GB and 128 GB.

All these specifications make fans and mobile users more excited to its launch especially that it will cost less than its S6 Edge brother despite a bigger screen.
