Chris Pratt reveals his thoughts about playing the title role in the reboot of Steven Spielberg's "Indiana Jones" amid reports that he is being considered to play the part.

After starring in the blockbuster hit "Jurassic World," Chris Pratt is now being dubbed as the Harrison Ford of this generation since he is reportedly the top candidate to portray the swashbuckling archeologist, who was originally portrayed by Ford.

Insider source from Deadline revealed that even the world-renowned director of both the "Jurassic Park" and the original "Indiana Jones" films would like to direct Chris Pratt in the epic adventure film's reboot.

In early 2015, rumors about Pratt receiving Ford's iconic fedora and whip from the adventure flick surfaced because Disney allegedly has its eye on the actor even during the early stages of brainstorming for the film's script, Cinema Blend explained.

The 35-year-old actor, however, was obviously still unsure if he is indeed going to portray the fedora-clad hero during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" where he danced around the subject, uttering "I don't know" as his only coherent answer.

People, on the other hand, was able to extract more than one full sentence out of Pratt who explained that he wants to take things one step at a time especially in his career.

"Career wise, I want to make sure I focus on making good on the commitments that I've made and the projects that I'm tackling. I don't want to spread myself too thin and I don't want to have too many irons in the fire," he explained.

"It will most definitely happen, it always does," he told People, referring to his belief that at some point, he will be "thrown off" so he might as well "enjoy the ride."

However, ComicBook.com believes that if Hollywood would be pushing an actor up, it would be someone who can be as "bankable" as Pratt considering that he just won the world after his latest epic film "Jurassic World" bit off a huge chunk amounting to $511.8 million from the international box office.

This was echoed by Pratt's own agent who told People that Jurassic's success would definitely push the actor up to join the A-listers, whose paychecks include massive sums from their film's profits, considering that he was able to pull off a totally different persona in the dinosaur-filled franchise from what he is used to—a goofy-yet-adorable leading man in the Marvel film "Guardians of the Galaxy."
