Dallas Cowboys quarterback Orlando Scandrick and "Basketball Housewives" star Draya Michele announced their breakup after two years of being together.

Michele announced the end of their relationship in an Instagram post which she captioned, "After more than two years together Orlando and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. Unfortunately, we both live very hectic lives making it difficult to spend the deserved time together. He is a great father and athlete and I will cherish the memories that we created."

TMZ said that this news is "pretty shocking" especially since the two were already talking about marriage a few months back.

Madame Noire added that this is not the first time the couple split, noting that the reality star also posted on Instagram an almost similar statement in August last year but the previous announcement did not seem "amicable."

"I'd rather focus on my career and family than a relationship at the time. I did my best to make things work. I'm not the one who failed," Michele was quoted in the Madame Noire article.

She reportedly got back with the Dallas Cowboys player less than a month after the post. Madame Noire commented that it is sad for the relationship to just end like this especially since the two have already started forming their family.

"Her son and his twin daughters appeared to be forming a rather beautiful bond. Only time will tell whether or not things are truly over this time," the same report added.

Fashion and Style earlier reported that Michele wants nothing more but to be Scandrick's wife. It added that many fans observed that the two are "pretty committed" with their relationship and are in it for a lifetime.

"You know, I don't plan for other people's money, but I hope he has a nice investment that he's going to buy that has to do with, you know, rings and things and sparkly stuff," Michele said in the Fashion and Style article.

The TV star also expressed her hope to wear a diamond ring "pretty soon."

"I'm waiting. I'd like to guess [it's] really close, but I don't know. I send him little hints, post little things on the fridge. Leave clippings of the rings that I like. The response has been good. It's like coming... It's coming!" she added.

Now, it seems like there will be no need for that as the two already broke up and the Cowboy also expressed hesitations to propose.

"Man, I think we been together for almost 2 years. We have a great relationship. We're really compatible and I really do enjoy spending time with her. I appreciate her. I think that in due time all that stuff is going to take care of itself," Scandrick was quoted in the Fashion and Style article as saying.
