Google has recently unveiled its itinerary for this year's I/O conference, 9to5Google reported. The updated website allows prospects to view the event's sessions, create their personal schedules and set timely reminders, among other things.

Some of I/O's sessions cited by 9to5Google include "Gaming on Android TV," "Google Classroom Demo" and "What's new in Android."

Specifically, Android M has been mentioned in the "Android for Work Update" session description, the outlet noted. The statement said, "Android M is bringing the power of Android to all kinds of workplaces. This opens huge new markets for hundreds of millions of devices to workers at small business, deskless workers, logistics and warehousing jobs; all be empowered by adoption of Android devices at Work."

According to The Guardian, the session tells that Android M will not limit itself to tablets and smartphones. The outlet is convinced that it could make "a play for the market" currently occupied by Chrome OS.

For those unfamiliar, Chrome is Google's other operating system, specially geared towards personal computers, laptops and the like. The Guardian predicted, "Android M could be catalyst that brings the two together."

At this point, followers would know that Google adopts an alphabetical naming scheme for the Android operating system. In 2014, the world first heard about "Android L," later revealed as Android 5.0 Lollipop, the update that brought the well-received Material Design.

As told by Pocket-lint, this year's I/O conference could also bring the latest version of Google Glass. Citing information from the Wall Street Journal, the outlet reported that Google has continued working on the wearable, despite killing its Explorer program back in January.

Interestingly, the new Google Glass is expected to pack an Intel chip, though we're yet to hear more information about this particular processor.

Another likely product appearing at the I/O is Project Ara, the DIY-like smartphone that's long been anticipated by the public. According to Pocket-lint, the Project Ara website tells that the modular device is headed to a limited pilot market this year.

Other expectations cited by Pocket-lint include Android Auto and Project Tango.

As previously reported, there are many monikers speculated to mean the dessert concealed by Android M, and this list includes "Marshmallow," "Milkshake," "Mars," "Milky Way," "Malteser," "Macaroon," "Meringue Pie," "Moon Pie," "Mint" and "Milk Dud." The list continues.

Running between May 28 and May 29, Google I/O 2015 is set to take place at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco, California.
