In its weekly update, Bungie has delivered a number of good news to "Destiny" players.

The developer announced that update 1.1.2 brings new features, on top of the fact that it's bound to prepare players for the next DLC expansion.

Bungie's blog post didn't detail a specific release date, but it's previously speculated that "House of Wolves" will be unlocked on May 19.

In a more recent report, Game Rant noted that it's set to arrive "sometime" after Mar. 31, and this looks to be the case. Bungie has set a viable release time frame that spans three months (April to June).

Bungie has confirmed an increase in Vault space for update 1.1.2. At this point, players would know that Vault dimensions provide storage for 20 armor pieces, 20 general items and 20 weapons.

With the update, dimensions will allow players to store 24 armor pieces, 24 general items and 36 weapons. General pieces include all other accessory objects such as materials, shaders, emblems, ships and vehicles, among others.

The expansion of the Vault has been limited by "memory constraints on older generation hardware," GameSpot reported. According to the outlet, players on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will no longer have a functional item comparison feature, while Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gamers remain unaffected.

Additional Vault space has been wanted for quite some time, with Bungie even saying that some players have bumped against the limits. Live Team Lead M.E. Chung expressed, "For many, many weeks, Vault space has been an important request in the queue that we've been tracking."

"Different players have different needs, but our goal was to find a solution that could deliver more Vault space to the greatest number of people in the short term," Chung went on.

For the uninitiated, Vaults in "Destiny" function as they would in our world -- a storage hub. This is where players collect their loot.

As told by IGN, Vaults are often shared across more than one character.

User Research Lead John Hopson revealed, "Very few people have completely full Vaults, but a lot of endgame players are bumping up against the limits.

"For example, 21% of players who are level 30+ have 4 or fewer free spaces in their weapon Vaults right now. The armor and general sections are slightly less full for most people, but not by much," the rep added.

PS4 players are also said to get the 2.50 Yukimura update, GameSpot noted. This brings a Suspend and Resume function, enabled by the upcoming patch.

Update 1.1.2 is also expected to add new audio settings, a Colorblind Mode and certain bug fixes, IGN said.
