During his training camp on Saturday, Manny Pacquiao had a surprise visitor in the person of former NFL player Tim Tebow.

According to ESPN, the Heisman Trophy-winning former Florida quarterback was born in Pacquiao's home country, the Philippines.

The public learned of their meeting at Pacquaio's gym in Los Angeles when Tebow posted a photo of him and Pacman on Instagram with the caption "Awesome being with my Filipino and Christian brother." Pacquiao also posted their photo on his Instagram account, saying that it was good to be with his "brother in Christ."

Tebow is known to be a religious person who is open about his Christian faith as he has missionary parents.

Pacquiao's spokesperson Fred Sternburg told ESPN that Tebow and Pacquiao "seemed like they already knew each other" greeting each with a hug. Also present during the meeting of the athletes was Top Rank CEO and Pacman's promoter Bob Arum, who also watched Pacquiao fight with his sparring partner for seven rounds.

"It was the first time they had ever met and yet it seemed they had known each other forever the way they immediately embraced each other," Arum told Los Angeles (LA) Times

The same report said that Tebow commended Pacquiao for the hard work he puts on his training sessions.

"Manny's training session was phenomenal and inspiring," Tebow said.

Aside from their meeting, LA Times said Pacquiao also dined with Tebow after the workout and noted that the two seemed to enjoy each other's company while they were talking to each other.

Pacquiao is currently preparing for his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. It is dubbed to be the richest fight in history with Mayweather claiming that he can earn "nine figures for 36 minutes of work."

As for his training, Mayweather is said to be drawing more strength with the help of coach Alex Ariza.

According to CBS Sports, Jeff Mayweather, the undefeated boxer's uncle, said that the training is different from his past sessions. He said it was "subtle but it's a major difference for Floyd because he's never done it."

Jeff also expressed confidence that "The Money" will emerge victorious against Pacquiao.

"Originally, I think Floyd got him just to mess with Manny's mind. But he knows Manny's history and his flaws and everything else," he added.

On May 2, questions on who is the bigger fighter between the two will finally be answered and surely, fans will be looking forward to a rematch or maybe a third fight.
