Goran Dragic has attributed his decision to be traded or become a free agent to his loss of trust in the Phoenix Suns.

On Wednesday, Dragic said that his relationship with the team that drafted him has become "irretrievably broken" as reported by USA Today.

"I don't trust them anymore. It happens too many times. Two, three times. They give promises, OK. It's hard. But at the same time, I wish them all the best. They were great to me the past five years. I'm always going to have a good memory about Phoenix fans and the city. I just hit that point of my career that it's better for me and my family to move on," he explained.

It has been reported that Dragic has requested to be traded and this has prompted discussions within the team management.

USA Today added that the guard's distrust may also be linked to the addition of two point guards on the team - Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas - which has limited his role in the team.

"I don't feel comfortable with my situation. It's just different. Standing in the corner, it's not my game. I see that we're not going the right direction. That's why I take action and try to put myself in a better position," Dragic added.

Aside from this reason, Bright Side of the Sun said that the Suns have also drafted shooting guards Archie Goodwin and Bogdan Bogdanovic then acquired his brother Zoran then traded Gerald Green two years ago and Reggie Bullock last month.

These players have reportedly taken the position that Dragic wants and this may have greatly affected how he sees the plan of the team for him.

He said, as noted in an SB Nation report that he was happy with the setup at first. However, he added that he needs to consider his future and his family.

But Dragic assured that he always acts as a professional in every game. "I try to play every game as hard as possible. I love basketball. That's my life. Every game is," he added.

Some potential destination for the basketball player are the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks, the teams which Dragic indicated on the list of NBA teams he would like to join this summer.

But the Boston Celtics are planning to acquire Dragic as they are emerging as a "dark-horse contender" for the player "given the numerous future draft picks Boston president Danny Ainge has amassed in recent months to offer Phoenix as well as his strong relationship with Suns general manager Ryan McDonough," Sports Illustrated said.
