Saturday may be a day of mayhem for Kobe X fans, as Nike is scheduled to release another color option, this time, favoring purple.

The new colorway -- dominated by Persian violet -- escalates the level of Kobe's shoeline, said Kicks on Fire. The elegant color is all over the upper and midsole of the new shoe.

Listed on Nike.com as a combo of violet, black and volt, the pair will be available for $180, beginning 10 a.m. EST on the online shop. It is also available for $135 in kids' sizing, specifically in gradeschool (3.5Y - 7Y).

While customers would automatically think the "Blackout" would be black, Kicks on Fire noted that black only has a minor role, appearing only in the Swoosh branding, the tongue, inner lining and laces, among other spots.

The heel area is also black, with the right shoe sporting the Kobe emblem and the other one with red accents.

According to the Nike.com piece, Bryant's 10th signature basketball shoe, packs a beautiful narrative of determination. It is inspired by the NBA icon's 19 years of hard work for the Los Angeles Lakers, also known by the purple color.

"When I'm really feeling it ... I work out until I black out," the athlete had also said, thus inspiring the name of the new color option.

The purple does look like the Lakers' signature tinge, agreed Sneaker News, commenting that the aesthetic of the pair looks menacing, thus meshing well with the determination concept.

Bryant is already 36 years old but no one is doubting that he will bounce back from the injury that ended his season in the league and prevented his participation in the All-Star Games. Why? It's because of his determination, the Sneaker News said.

Aside from looking back through the inspiration, the shoes also look forward through technology, as they carry with them a bunch of technical innovations -- the high-tech traction system, the hybrid cushioning, and even the textile upper, per Nike.com.

The concepts and technological advances were injected to the shoe to inspire not only Bryant but also other aspiring athletes, the report added. It wants younger generations of sports men to emulate his trait.

The shoe has a 4.21 rating of a possible 5 on another Sneaker News piece at press time.

The report cited a professional trainer taking over the athlete's training, as saying that Bryant was very obsessed in keeping his physique in top form. It associates the regiment to the athlete's story, which it said was viral in the 2013/2014 period.

Although he will not wear the shoes on the NBA court for the season anymore, he'll be using the pair at the gym and rehab center, Sneaker News said.
