The search continues for a 19-year-old autistic man from New Jersey who was reported missing last Tuesday.

Michael Karwan was reported missing at 10:47 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 from Marlboro Township, N.J. He is caucasian and is 6 ft. tall and 220 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, jeans and green sneakers, according to Missingcases.com.

He was last sighted in the Manhattan, N.Y. area, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

"On behalf of Monmouth County law enforcement, I'd like to thank you all for keeping the missing person report of 19-year-old Michael Karwan in the headlines," Gramiccioni said in a statement. "Our office continues to work with the Marlboro Police Department and a number of other law enforcement agencies in an effort to locate him."

Police reported that Karwan may have taken a NJ Transit bus to Manhattan, The Asbury Park Press reports.

Prior to that sighting, he was seen in Freehold, N.J. trying to check into a hotel. He was turned away because he did not have any identification.

Michael's father, Walter, said his son may have grown a beard since he was seen last. "He's one of those guys who has to shave twice a day," he said.

Walter Karwan said the family has put up fliers regarding his missing son at local convenience stores, as well as shelters and hotels in the area.

Karwan said his son likes comic books and movies, which may draw him to locations that offer books and/or movie selections.

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his whereabouts.

Anyone who sees Michael is asked to call the Marlboro Township Police Department at 732-536-0100
