Looks like there's another favorite to play the hero, and it seems that Chris Pratt is set to play the new Indiana Jones.

Since the huge success of his recent movies, it seems that Pratt has become the next big thing in Hollywood, in an adorably funny and kind way that only few celebrities can be. As Movie Pilot noted, he stole the hearts of many when he stole his superhero costume to visit a children's hospital.

Which is why it comes to no surprise that this guy has been appearing on a lot of fan-cast lists, the latest is that he is being eyed to star as the fedora-wearing professor in the reboot of "Indiana Jones."

The franchise, which was bought by Disney in 2013, is looking to re-introduce the archaeologist to a whole new generation, despite the fact that "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" totally bombed. However, there has been no specific news on the lead role yet, and there are other contenders, including Bradley Cooper, Robert Pattinson, and Harrison Ford himself. However, Pratt is definitely in the top of the running to take over the role that Harrison Ford made an icon in the original films.

A lot of people are rooting for Pratt to get the role, with Yahoo! noting some reasons why he's perfect: mostly, his ability to look good in leather, as seen in "Guardians of the Galaxy," and that he can rock a fedora, which is basically Indiana Jones's signature look.

Entertainment Weekly, however, has doubts on whether or not the actor should get the role as the new Indy, mainly because he is already signed on for another "Guardians of the Galaxy" film, and the bigger question to the matter is the number of Disney franchises a grown man should be part of. He's already the Star Lord, could he handle being an iconic character that will have to live up to Harrison Ford, of all people?

Maybe it's not in the actor: as EW noted, Indiana Jones is not exactly consistent as far as its films are concerned: it made a truly great movie, but also made a truly terrible one, and a couple of so-so ones, so is there any need for a reboot in the first place?

But just in case there really is one, what do you think of Pratt donning the fedora? Would he do a good job as Indiana Jones, or should the role be given to more established actors instead?
