Rockstar's lack of official word about "Grand Theft Auto VI" has propelled tons of grapevine information all over the gaming media. While "GTA V" continues to build hype, reports surrounding its sequel have persisted up to this moment. Once and for all, the big question remains: When is the new game coming?

According to Express, reports have indicated that the game launches "in the fall of 2017." The source added that its location has been tipped to be Vice City.

Rumors centered on the game's setting may have been the loudest among all. Last week, the Master Herald cited several reasons from another source, detailing why the next game could be set in Rose City or Portland, Oregon. This follows a slew of hearsays which have set the title in Liberty City, Paris, Brazil, London and Las Vegas, among others.

Some even believed the information from satire web site Huzlers.com, which claimed the setting of the next "GTA" game in Chicago, Illinois. The outlet went on to "report" that instead of a "Grand Theft Auto VI," Rockstar will be calling the game "Grand Theft Auto: Lake City."

Meanwhile, a new report from Christian Today revealed a number of interesting details about the much-awaited sequel. Citing information from tipster DragonDMonkey, the outlet reported that "GTA VI" might "have a continuity similar" to "Red Dead Redemption." This appears to be a possibility, since the game's newest protagonist is said to be the descendant of RDR icon John Marston.

For those who may not know, the "Grand Theft Auto" and "Red Dead Redemption" franchises are both owned by Rockstar Games.

Just as how "Grand Theft Auto VI" is currently sustained by rumors, so is the supposed sequel to the "Red Dead Redemption" franchise. The game is expected to arrive in November 2015.

In other news, Rockstar has announced a bunch of surprises for "GTA V" PC edition prospects, the Latinos Post reported. Priced around $67, the game will be available to preorder on Feb. 1. Buyers will be treated with one free game and $1 million in-game. Even better, a $300,000 bonus for "GTA Online" will also be granted.

On top of stunning graphics, "GTA V" for PC will bring the following upgrades, as listed by Rockstar:

- new weapons, vehicles and activities

- additional wildlife

- denser traffic

- new foliage system

- enhanced damage and weather effects

"GTA V" is currently available for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The PC version arrives on Mar. 24.

As we have previously noted, fans have requested a retro setting, female protagonist, more vehicles, modern songs and more interiors for "GTA VI," among others.

Are you excited about "GTA VI," or would you rather see "GTA: San Andreas 2?"
