Naya Rivera made an interesting (and somewhat shocking) remark during her appearance as a guest host on "The View." The "Glee" actress claimed that white people shower more than those with different ethnicities, E! Online reported.

"I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnic," Rivera said in response to moderator Nicole Wallace's statement that she showers three times a day (pre- and post-show, and once before bed). "I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing," she added, as quoted by E! Online.

After the 28-year-old actress's statement, Rosie O'Donnell spoke to an African-American woman in the audience, who then said that she is a "frequent showerer," to which Rivera responded, "My mom is half black, half Puerto Rican. She showers every day, so I can say this," the news outlet reported.

"But I'm now married to a white man. And he showers a lot, like two, three times a day. I'm like, 'What are you doing?'" she added. Daily Mail reported that Rivera married her husband, Ryan Dorsey, in a secret ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in July 2014, months following her breakup with ex-fiancé rapper, Big Sean.

The "Glee" star, however, insisted that "her cleanliness is spot-on," E! Online reported. "So the study says, a dermatologist says you are only supposed to shower once or twice every three days, so I'm right on the mark," she further explained.

As expected, Rivera's statements sparked outrage online, especially on Twitter. According to Mirror, some users aired out that the actress's remark was offensive. She then responded on the negative tweets, saying, "When you get out of the shower today, get a sense of humor. Love ya!"

Naya Rivera and Big Sean Not in Good Terms?

Rivera recently performed "Problem" on the Season 6 premiere of "Glee" with Dianna Agron and Heather Morris, Hollywood Life reported. According to the news outlet, the actress performing the song "is pretty ironic given that Naya was formerly engaged to Ariana's new love Big Sean."

Another report from Hollywood Life stated that the rapper might be trying to "throw some shade" on Rivera. On November 15, Big Sean posted a bold Instagram message - a photo from his "IDFWU" music video captioned: "To be honest I never gave a f**k!"

"His new video and song is all about Naya," the news outlet's source revealed. "He's always said that he dodged a bullet with her and then he put it in the song. And he's a quarterback because she's a cheerleader on Glee."
