Living up to his name as the best-paid athlete in the world, undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently flaunted how wealthy he really is by posting his luxury cars and a jet on social media.

It has been earlier noted by Forbes that the boxing champion earned £66.1 million last year and is the wealthiest athlete of 2014.

On his Instagram page, he posted a photo of himself with his collection of cars and a jet as his background.

He even detailed how much he spent on each vehicle on the caption of the photo.

"Welcome to my toy world! Who wants to come out & play?," he said prior to detailing the individual prices of his cars which are listed below:

Bugatti Veyron $1,600,000

Bugatti Veyron $1,600,000

Bugatti Gran Sport $3,000,000

Ferrari 458 Spider $360,000

Lamborghini Aventador $390,000

Porsche 911 Turbo S $205,000
Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano $350,000

Daily Mail explained in a report that the fastest car on the list was the Bugatti Veyron which runs at 267mph and this car brand is aso considered the most expensive as it is pegged at £1.5m each.

Business Insider said that the cost of all the cars is around $5.94 million and this is still not tantamount to the net value of Mayweather which is at $280 million.

"Mayweather doesn't claim to be an automotive collector in the same realm as a Jay Leno or a Jerry Seinfeld. Rather, he seems to be a guy who enjoys having nice things around - multiple copies of the same nice things," Business Insider added.

It has also been noted that this is not the first time that the boxer showed off his money to the world as he also shared on social media his numerous collections of shoes, watches and sunglasses.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao also made headlines when he posted a simple photo of him in front of a what seems to be a bonfire with the caption "Floyd brags about his lifestyle and everything! I don't care! I'm just waiting here for him to sign the contract!."

After years of discussion, Mayweather has finally announced that he will fight Pacquiao on May 2 but on his own terms.

Despite the announcement made late last year, many people are still pessimistic if Mayweather will live up to his words or will he just use the publicity for his own good.

A recent Washington Post report said that the supposed megafight is still in a "hypothetical phase" with Pacquiao's demands clearly pushing Mayweather away from making the decision.

"It's abundantly clear that the fight will happen when - and only when - Mayweather says it will. Pacquiao may feel like he's ratcheting up public pressure, but he's also coming across as increasingly desperate, and Mayweather is surely having a ball letting his would-be opponent twist in the wind," added the Washington Post.
