Xbox One Games List 2015: Top 5 January Releases

It won't be long until the world makes another calendar shift. For gamers, 2015 means another canvas to collect exciting game titles, and Microsoft's next-gen console sure has great offers on its list.

Without further ado, here are five new titles coming to the Xbox One next month, ranging from action to adventure to platformer. For prospects on the look-out of ways to spend that holiday cash, read on.

'Saint's Row: Gat Out of Hell'

Developed by Volition and High Voltage Software, the title arrives as a standalone expansion, wrote Polygon. This means players won't be needing a copy of "Saints Row IV" to enjoy the game. The outlet clarified that this expansion is part of the upcoming "Saints Row 4: Re-Elected."

As told by the outlet, the expansion title arrives on Jan. 27, 2015, for a retail price of $19.95. Aside from the Xbox One, it will also be released for the PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

'Life is Strange'

This episodic, narrative-driven adventure franchise releases its first episode on Jan. 30, 2015, said IGN. Developed by DONTNOD Entertainment and published by Square Enix, the game is set in the fictional Oregon town of Arcadia Bay.

It chronicles the adventures of senior student Max Caulfield, who comes back to the town to meet old friend Chloe. Together, they set out to discover the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber.

Game Informer previously reported that the game consists of five episodes. The first is priced for $4.99, while the Season Pass for episodes 2 - 5 retails for $16.99.

'Funk of Titans'

Developed by A Crowd of Monsters, the game presents itself as a fast-paced platformer, GameFAQs noted. Accordingly, players get to take the role of Perseus, aimed at defeating Music Titans. There are over 40 levels to complete, across three different genres of music: Pop, Rap and Rock.

The title arrives on Jan. 9. 2015, said TechCroc. According to Hardcore Gamer, it's set to be priced at $9.

'Dying Light'

This first-person, action and survival horror game is set in the apocalyptic world dominated by zombies. As described by the Microsoft Store, players get to travel across the title's expansive urban environment by day, hit by a vicious outbreak. At night, danger gets even worse, as "the hunter becomes the hunted."

The source wrote that the game arrives on Jan. 27, 2015. It's set to retail at $59.99. The game is developed by Techland and published by Warner Bros. Interactive, IGN wrote.

'Resident Evil' HD Remaster

Set in a mysterious, dangerous mansion housing monsters and traps, the game is a remake of the 2002 title, wrote Gamepur. According to the outlet, the upcoming installment restores Lisa Trevor and connects storylines of William Birkin and Alexia Ashford.

Developed by Capcom, the game will be offered at 1080p resolution among next-gen consoles, accompanied by 5.1 surround sound. It comes out on Jan. 20, 2015, sold for $19.99 (Steam).
