Due to the terrible start of the team this season, it has been widely reported for the past days that New York Knicks star player Carmelo Anthony already wants to leave the team and transfer to another one where his career will be better.

It was noted in a Sports World News article that when Anthony re-signed with the Knicks during the offseason, he agreed to another five-year stay with the team for $124 million.

But now it seems that he is already singing a different tune as reports say Anthony already wants to scout for other teams which he thinks will perform better than the Knicks. A Sports World News source said that the player can waive his no-trade clause if team president Phil Jackson will be able to work out a deal with the team that Anthony really wants.

"He thought things would be better than this, but he still wants to stick it out for now. He trusts Phil, but I think he's afraid of Phil,'' the source added.

Reports of Anthony's transfer to other teams surfaced when he was rumored to be having a rift with teammate Tim Hardaway Jr. According to Sports World News, if he will indeed transfer to another team, it will be quite difficult as it would be hard to find a trade partner for him because of his skills and salary cap. It has been reported that he is already eligible for trade next week.

Carmelo Anthony still 'committed to the Knicks'

Leon Rose, Anthony's agent, explained that there is no interest from Anthony to waive his no-trade clause.

"Carmelo, as always, is committed to the Knicks. There have never been discussions about trades or wanting to leave New York. Any story, rumor, report to the contrary is utter nonsense," Rose told Sports World News.

According to the New York Post, Anthony's questions about his career is just natural as he is a player who is concerned about his future. But he said in the report that he is far from dropping his current team.

"I've never been a person to try to run from any adversity. I'm not going to pick today to do that. If we were winning, we wouldn't be sitting here talking about a story out there that says I want a trade,'' he told the New York Post.

There have been claims that Anthony just got misrepresented inside the Knicks locker room and that he is not really the player who wants to opt out of the team.

"Anthony doesn't want to leave but wants to see things get much better," the New York Post added in its report.

On Friday, Anthony said that he expects his team to do better this season.
