Two of Charlotte Hornets' players, Lance Stephenson & Gerald Henderson, are said to be exiting the team soon.

Stephenson, who signed with the Hornets in free agency, could now be on his way out of his current team.

A Lakers Nation report indicated that the team could potentially trade the 24-year-old shooting guard. It noted that the team has been making trade calls based from reports of sources in the league.

This move is reportedly due to the Hornets' move to "upgrade on the wing and at power forward."

For the past season, Lakers Nation said that Stephenson averaged 9.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game which can already be considered as great stats for a player like him but it seems like the team is still not satisfied with his performance.

Another major reason for the team to come up with a possible decision is that they have lost nine games in a row and was only able to bag four wins in the current season.

"With the Hornets arguably one of the worst teams in the league with no signs of turning things around, it comes as no surprise they'd start gauging trade interest players like Stephenson," Lakers Nation added.

Aside from Stephenson, there are also reports that the Hornets are "aggressively shopping" shooting guard Henderson.

Fan Sided discussed that Henderson could be one of the players that the Hornets can swap for other shooters to be on the team. The report said that acquiring Henderson could really be "tempting" but his $6 million player option for next season could just have slumped trade possibilities for him.

For this NBA season, Henderson is said to be averaging 6.8 points per game, a low statistics for him compared to the season when he started in the NBA.

There also have been reports that if Henderson is indeed offered for a trade, there could only be a few teams that would want him on their roster but the upcoming free agency could still make a lot of changes in his career as a basketball star.

The talks of potential trades is perceived by SB Nation as a desperate act for the Hornets which it considered as the "most disappointing team in the league."

"They're no longer good on defense, are still bad on offense and have seen none of their offseason moves work, especially the Stephenson signing. Yet because the Hornets play in the East, they still have a shot at the playoffs. A trade for the right piece could be all the Hornets need to get back into the Eastern Conference playoff picture," SB Nation explained.
