With the transfer window set to open in less than a month, rumors of possible athletes to be traded to other teams have already surfaced with Manchester United needing more players to be able to step up their game for this season, Arsenal asking for more defensive players and Chelsea needing cheaper players on their team.

Express said in a report that Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is still mulling whether they will sign Radamel Falcon on a permanent contract by the end of the season. The same report added that Van Gaal is also still considering if Falcon is worth the £44m contract since he has figured in an injury when he joined Old Trafford.

According to Daily Mail, Falcao has been given until April to prove that he is worth the said contract and stay with the team permanently. He is currently on a four-month trial after United made a deal with his parent club Monaco to be able to determine the player's future.

His skills was tested for six weeks when he was declared as replacement for Robin van Persie. Daily Mail said Manchester is "satisfied" that his left knee injury he sustained in January has already been healed.

Despite this, it has been reported that Van Gaal still closely monitors the performance of the player since he is planning to put back the team at "the summit of English football."

"You have to be fit. That's why players have to play in the second team, like Falcao, in spite of his name," Van Gaal was quoted by Daiy Mail as saying. As a response to this, Falcao has been reported to be spending more time in the gym doing pilates to make him physically prepared for the games.

With these positive developments set to happen for the team and Falcao, there have also been news that Robin Van Persie will leave United. Inquisitr mentioned in a report that Van Persie's poor performance for the last few weeks has become a concern for the team.

"Earlier this week, after Robin Van Persie had put in such an abject display against Arsenal that even his coach, Louis Van Gaal, publicly criticized him, various stories started to pop up that Manchester United were considering selling the Dutch striker," Inquisitr added.

Some reports have mentioned that if Van Persie leaves Manchester, he will likely end up with Internazionale, with manager Roberto Mancini previously expressing intent to sign him from Arsenal.

Two years from now, Van Persie's contract will expire and that after the said period he will already be worth around $16 million, an amount which would probably make Manchester say no to signing him again.

Clearly, Van Persie has struggled to perform his best this season with him only touching the ball 13 times in the game against Arsenal last weekend leading Van Gaal calling it a "very bad game."
