Austin Mahone and Camila Cabello reportedly split up a few weeks after confirming their relationship.

Cabello, one of the singers of the girl group Fifth Harmony, announced the news about the breakup during an appearance in KISS 96.1 Radio on Monday, November 24. According to Us Weekly, the 17-year-old singer said, "We're actually not together anymore. Hey, things happen."

She didn't reveal the reason of the split, but Cabello said that it happened recently. However, she didn't seem to be too miserable about the breakup, and even joked during the interview about wanting to date other guys.

"I need some mistletoe action," Cabello said, as quoted by Us Weekly.

Mahone and Cabello met during a concert tour last summer alongside Shawn Mendes and The Vamps, according to a report from E! Online. They first became good friends and since then, rumors have been going around that there was romance brewing between the two. Cabello was the first to confirm the status of their relationship during an interview earlier this month on "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen.

Despite the breakup, Mahone still makes sure that he got Cabello's back. The 18-year-old singer recently slammed a report from Hollywood Life saying that Cabello only revealed their relationship in an effort to sell more albums. Apparently, Mahone accused her of it and "she was hurt by that and they both decided to break up." According to the gossip site's insider, she wanted to tell people about their dating status, and Mahone wanted to keep it low key.

"Now that they aren't touring together, it made it easier to make the split," Hollywood Life's insider further revealed. "They aren't bitter with each other and something might happen with them in the future but right now, they both are enjoying the clean break. They both decided that it was a long time coming."

Another report from E! Online said that the "Mmm Yeah" singer posted his response on Twitter, saying, "@HollywoodLife that's the most ridiculous reason I've ever heard... Nothing like that even happened at all. Idk what source u guys talking 2."

Cabello also seemed to address the issue. She tweeted, "guys guys. nobody is the bad guy here and nobody deserves any hate. lots of love...goodnight.

The singer added, "with that said, im taking a little break from twitter for a couple days. i love you all so much."
