The first teaser trailer for "Insurgent," the second "Divergent" movie, has been released, four months before the movie hits theaters on March 20, 2015.

In the action-packed sneak peak bearing the message, "This spring the world will never be the same," Shailene Woodley reprises her role as heroine Beatrice "Tris" Prior, E! Online reports.

The trailer starts off with Tris standing in the middle of the flaming ruins of a vast wasteland. Things started to become trippy and chaotic in the teaser when Natalie (played by Ashley Judd) appears to Tris from inside a burning structure that abruptly floated into the sky, E! Online notes. Tris immediately springs into action, chasing (and attempting to save) her mother from inside the burning building.

As what ET Online pointed out, this scene in the trailer was downright weird. Tris' mother died in the first film, so it's possible that the sneak peak just features Tris' dream sequence, or perhaps a drug-induced imagination.

Cast and Release Date

"Insurgent" is the next film installment based on Veronica Roth's best-selling young adult dystopian trilogy novels. Joining lead actress Woodley are "Divergent" co-stars Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Kate Winslet, Miles Teller, Jai Courtney, and Zoë Kravitz. British model and actress Suki Waterhouse and Naomi Watts have also joined the "Divergent" franchise, according to another report from E! Online. Watts plays Evelyn, the leader of the factionless (or Divergents) and James character's mother, Daily Mail adds.

Brian Duffield and Akiva Goldsman penned the sequel's script, with Robert Schwentke directing, E! Online reports.

James said that "Insurgent" will be different from the first movie. According to a statement from the actor via E! Online, "You have to honor the material for the first film because you have a fan base, but when you come to the second one, if you you've done well with the first movie, you now have the ability to think outside the box," James said. "And I think as long as you have good character progression-which is essentially Four and Tris, the anchors of the films-if you have that stuff right, then if you lose some kind of threads of different plotlines, it shouldn't matter."

Elgort, who plays Tris' brother Caleb, also revealed what fans can expect from the second film.

"'It is like 'Divergent' but a little bit darker and less introductory. It is more about the characters and now Beatrice is more badass so she is going to kick ass a little bit more and there will be a lot more stunts," Elgort said, as quoted by Daily Mail.
