Accio story!

According to Pottermore, J.K. Rowling is going to publish a new tale on Oct. 31, just in time for Halloween -- probably the grandest annual occasion celebrated at Hogwarts,

The announcement (which cannot be read without membership) revealed that a 1,700-word back story central on the character of Dolores Umbridge is slated for release. Details of the pink-obsessed, punishing professor will include Rowling's "first-person thoughts and reflections about the character."

Mashable cited the post which reads, "Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry."

The news follows the announcement of extension film "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them," which comes out on Nov. 18, 2016.

Played by Imelda Staunton, Dolores Umbridge is a cold-blooded, ailurophiliac witch who served as Hogwarts' Headmistress and the Minister for Magic's Senior Undersecretary.

Back in "Order of the Phoenix," Potterheads will never forget how she punished the Boy-Who-Lived in a brutally-innocent manner. She asked Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) to write "I must not tell lies" without ink. It was after the latter wrote a line or two when the words started scarring his left hand.

Apparently, the quill used his blood as ink.

Umbridge is one of the many female villains faced by Harry. The list includes Petunia Dursley, Narcissa Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson and of course, Bellatrix Lestrange.

As Harry defeated archenemy Lord Voldemort, Umbridge was sent to Azkaban, spending the rest of her life in prison. She was arrested, tried and convicted for her constant persecution of Muggle-borns (aka "Mudbloods"). In the Harry Potter world, "Mudblood" is the derogatory term for witches or wizards born to a non-magical family.

The highest form of magical ancestry is known as "Pureblood," an inherited trait valued by the Slytherin House. Ironically, Lord Voldemort is not as pure as he seemed to be, since he was a "Half-blood" just like Harry.

Back in July, Rowling has released an extended epilogue of the saga, focusing on 33-year-old Harry's reunion with best friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom were also there. Released in Pottermore, the story was set in the finale of the World Quidditch Cup. Independent reported that the site temporarily crashed out of extreme traffic.

Dolores Umbridge's feature story is part of Pottermore's Halloween bonanza, which started with a "Trick or Treat" countdown on Oct. 16. The site drops alternating "Pottermore Trick" or "Pottermore Treat" daily, every 4 p.m. (GMT).
