Adam Levine and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, share steamy scenes in Maroon 5's latest music video for "Animals."

Before the creepy music clip was shared online, the couple already gave a good hint of what fans can expect from it. It was through their Instagram accounts that they teased about their sexy shoot. The uploaded photo by 25-year-old Prinsloo showed the two of them all covered in fake blood.

Directed by Samuel Bayer, the "Animals" music video revolves around the storyline of the 35-year-old singer's character working as a butcher. But to make things more twisted, and to make the audience feel as if they are watching a thriller movie, he acts as an obsessed stalker to a female character played by his wife.

Most of the scenes show Levine following Prinsloo without her knowing and he eventually finds a way to creep into her room.

The twisted scenes in the video correlates to the lyrics of the track that are as haunting as the visuals, like "I can smell your scent from miles, just like animals..."

The clip ends up with "The Voice" coach standing soaked under the rain as he looks from afar to Prinsloo's window. All the raunchy scenes that transpired in the music video were merely a dream.

According to US Magazine, the chosen director for the video, Bayer, has worked on other music videos in the past. Some of the previous music videos he directed include "American Idiot" by Greenday, "What Goes Around... Comes Around" by Justin Timberlake, and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by the legendary rock band Nirvana.

"Animals" is not the first music video that Bayer directed for Maroon 5. He also directed the video for "Payphone," their collaborative hit track with Wiz Khalifa.

The "Maps" singer married the Namibian model in July. He once mentioned how he looks forward to having a lot of children, even up to a hundred, if possible.

Together with his band, Levine is planning a world tour expected to happen next February.
