The IFA consumer trade show begins this week in Germany and will allow the world a peek at what some of the biggest tech companies are about to unleash on the consumer market later this year and next year. The thing that makes IFA so cool is that it's open to the public, and allows anyone within traveling distance of Germany an opportunity to see the absolute latest in consumer tech. The show runs from September 5th through the 10th, but expect the big reveals from tech manufacturers to happen on Wednesday and Thursday this week (Sept. 3 and 4, respectively). All that said, we've made a list of what to expect from some of the industry's top companies at this year's show.

SAMSUNG

In years past, Samsung has used IFA to announce some of its biggest mobile product releases. This year's "Unpacked" event should be no exception and takes place this Wednesday, Sept 3 at 9 a.m. ET. Samsung will live-stream the show on Samsung Mobile's Youtube channel, and you can click here to watch it live. The Korean tech giant also has an event scheduled for Thursday which will most likely include home theater and home appliance products.

Sony

Sony's main IFA event will also take place on Wednesday, Sept. 3. Rumors suggest Sony plans to unveil new Xperia phones and/or tablets, most likely including the Xperia Z3 line of tablets and phones. Sony will live stream the event on their website and you can click here to watch it live. Also check out this teaser video Sony released for Wednesday's event.

Microsoft

Microsoft will hold its big IFA event on Thursday, Sept. 4. Their invite suggests that they will primarily focus on their latest lineup of Nokia Lumia devices, most likely the Lumia 830 and the Lumia 730.

LG

LG's main event figures to center on it's new 5.5-inch LG G3 Stylus (essentially, the G3 with a stylus) and it's new G Watch R circular smartwatch. LG already leaked photos of the G Watch R online and it looks promising.

HTC

According to PC Mag, HTC's "breakfast" event on Sept. 4 could include HTC's first 64-bit Android mobile device. Also, HTC is rumored to be working on its own smartwatch, which could make its debut at IFA this year.
