Christy Mack Twitter Pics: Porn Star Takes a Stroll in Las Vegas With Serious Injuries

A photo of Christy Mack on Twitter prompted some people to launch an offensive, questioning the severity of the injuries she got when the War Machine, her ex-partner, reportedly assaulted her last month, according to Yellow Elbow.

In the photo, she is shown walking the streets of Las Vegas, with the fan snapping the photo, clueless about the ruckus that would ensue.

The online blitzkrieg forced the supposed domestic violence victim, an adult film actress, to defend herself, Yellow Elbow said, as it showed some of Mack's responses to naysayers, mostly people on the side of the former MMA fighter, whose birth name is Jonathan Koppenhaver.

Mack said she had 18 broken bones around her eyes and 2 broken bones in her nose, among other injuries, an earlier report noted. She also thought the War Machine would murder her if she had not fled the scene.

Around that time, Mack pooled supporters through posting on Twitter some snapshots of her at the hospital, showing bruises and swollen body parts.

In a statement she included with the Aug. 12 tweet, Mack recounted that she and Koppenhaver broke up in May, and that the suspect appeared at her Las Vegas home at 2 a.m. on Aug. 8, beginning the assault by beating up her friend, later identified as VH1 reality show star Corey Thomas. She wouldn't be alive if she had not escaped as Koppenhaver headed for the kitchen to get a knife, she claimed.

In contrast, Koppenhaven said "I am not a bad guy," that the cops would "never give me fair play," and that "one day truth will come out," in a series of tweets on Aug. 11 (Bloody Elbow screen-grabbed the tweets). According to him, he was about to propose an engagement when he saw Mack with another man.

According to News.com.au, War Machine—he reportedly changed his name legally in 2008—went into hiding and was on the loose for more than a week before police caught him at a hotel in the Los Angeles suburb of Simi Valley.

He was extradited to Nevada on Saturday to face assault charges, the report said. Bloody Elbow explained that he was moved from Ventura County Jail in California to the Clark County Detention Center in Nevada.

The former Bellator fighter is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, MMA Mania reported. It said War Machine, assisted by lawyer Brandon Sua, will likely enter a plea of guilt or innocence at the hearing.

An Associated Press report available on Denver Post revealed that Koppenhaver, 32, was a former porn actor. "Prosecutors have filed multiple felony battery, assault and coercion charges that could get Koppenhaver a total of more than 25 years in prison if he is convicted," AP added.
