Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers will not have complaints about his footwear during the NBA Season as he and the Jordan Brand unveiled on Wednesday the newest edition of his CP3--Jordan CP3.VIII.

The new model was unveiled in a gala comparable to the launch of the Air Jordan XX9 in April, said the Dime Magazine. That spoke volumes about how Paul's greatness with the basketball and shoe concept is recognized by the Jordan Brand, it added.

Knowing all too well how choice in shoes can make or break a basketball player, the point guard designed a bespoke model, which responds to his own needs, the Bleacher Report said.

ESPN's Darren Rovell, in a tweet, quoted the player as saying: "9 times of 10, I feel like I'm going to get enough separation from the defender because his shoe isn't made for him."

The design was unveiled to select members of the media and VIPs at Location 05 in New York City, Dime Magazine said. The features are must-haves for players in the guard role, it added.

An added bonus is that you can use it in casual wear, it said, explaining that the sleek race-car look and the pattern similar to the Jeep and Mercedes do well for it.

Weartesters is impressed with Paul's preference in sneakers. The pair looks good, and there's great traction to couple that. The collar is also low and inside, there's a heel cushion.

According to the report, the model, the eighth iteration of Paul's signature show, is inspired by the speed of flight and gives Paul an on-court edge as he wears the design throughout the season. It is minimalist but is built with superb speed and responsiveness in mind.

The shoe was built for quick stops and directional changes and for high-speed approaches on fastbreaks and dunks, it added. The model also has sock-like fit to sthrengthen stability, rubber pods placed in high-contact points for comfort and the herringbone pattern, a staple in the CP3 line, is maintained.

The Bleacher Report also said that the shoe, available in black and gray color schemes, was made lightweight but stable because Paul relies heavily on quickness in his gameplay. It revealed, however, that the shoe is not pure science--to pay homage to his ancestors, he put a family tree on the inside of the tongue of the shoe.

The model will be available in global retailers and Jordan.com on Nov. 1, at $130 SRP.

Paul revealed that he never wears the same game-day sneakers twice, Sportal reported, commenting that he must have a superstructure to house all the shoes he's worn once. Let's see if this shoe model will change the way he looks at his shoes.
