Cleveland Cavalier star, LeBron James, is set to face his former team, Miami Heat, in a game scheduled on Christmas Day.

The Miami versus Cleveland matchup, according to New York Daily News, is slated for 5 p.m. on December 25. It will be one of the five games scheduled for the said day and among the highlights of the 2014-2015 NBA season.

New York Daily News added that Heat fans have earlier expressed their disappointment when James returned to Cleveland after failing to clinch the three-peat title with the Heat last season.

To make up for this, Miami Heat president, Pat Riley, re-signed Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade to the team. It also has to make final trade agreement for Kevin Love and Andrew Wiggins, New York Daily News reported.

The online article added that James last played with the Cavs in 2010. He is set to play against the Heat for four times during the entire NBA season.

Sporting News also noted in a report that James meeting with his old team will not only be limited to the NBA season as they are set to meet during an exhibition game in Brazil on Oct. 12.

Aside from this exciting matchup, the NBA schedule also scheduled a fascinating game between the LA Clippers and LA Lakers on Halloween. New York Daily News noted that the Clippers will be operating under new owner, Steve Ballmer, who recently purchased the team from disgraced Donald Sterling.

Meanwhile, the Nets are only scheduled for four times over ESPN or TNT in the next year after they faced a disappointing previous season. New York Daily News said that the Nets will not play on the major dates of the season like opening night, Christmas and Martin Luther King Day.

In a similar article, USA Today noted that fans should also look forward to the match between the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs in October where the defending champions will raise their flag by beating one of the biggest rivals in 15 years.

The one-on-one matchup between Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitzki is one of the most anticipated in NBA history.

According to USA Today, the four games scheduled for January 19 should also be anticipated as it is the Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Detroit Pistons will face the Atlanta Hawks at 2:30,  the Mavericks and Memphies Grizzlies at 5, the Chicago Bulls and Cavaliers at 8, then the Lakers and Phoenix Suns at 10:30.

On January 24, the Wizards will play against the Portland Trailblazers where John Wall and Damian Lillard are expected to face off in their effort to leap to stardom in the NBA.

According to ESPN, a game between the Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves is set to happen in Mexico City. The game between the Spurs and Wolves was also scheduled to happen in Mexico last year but had to be canceled because of a fire incident in the arena.
