Rihanna TLC Feud Continues; RiRi Fights Back with Sneaky Twitter Photo
Rihanna caused a storm when she showed up at the CFDAs earlier this week wearing a nearly-nude, Swarovski Crystal adorned dress that left nothing to the imagination. A number of fashion insiders and fans hailed the star for being fashion forward, but others were a bit more discerning.
Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, 44, and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, 43, of TLC went on a radio interview and had some pretty vocal thoughts, and pretty much slamming Rihanna for basically bearing her breasts.
The members of the 90s all-girl group appeared on Australian radio station's Channel 7 Sunrise Friday and shared their thoughts on "Diamond" singer's attire, reports In Touch.
"Every time I see you, you don't have to be naked. It's easy to sell sex," commented T-Boz. "It's hard for us to say anything because any time we do, they say, ‘Oh, TLC must be jealous,' but I call a spade a spade."
Chilli chimed in, "We became the biggest selling girl group of all time with our clothes on and that says a lot. We could go around too with boobie cakes out all day long."
The girls also took their comments to the Sydney Morning Herald. "At the end of the day the music speaks for itself, you don't have to take your clothes off if your music is great and you have a great image to support that it's definitely a win:win," said Chilli. "It's crazy to think that to have someone keep their clothes on would be refreshing."
How did the 26-year-old singer react? The "Cheers" singer has never been on to back down and quickly took to Twitter to share her own comments.
"When there's no changing the fact that I'm me, and they're well...they're them," posted RiRi and also changed her account banner to a photo of the TLC ladies topless holding their hands to cover their breasts.
