While some may be shocked to see singing sensation Rita Ora acting in the upcoming movie adaption of "Fifty Shades of Grey," the pop star admitted that even she was surprised when she was casted in the film.

In a recent red carpet interview at the MTV Movie Awards, the 23-year-old English artist opened up about her scenes from the highly anticipated film and being selected to play Christen Grey's adopted sister, Mia, in the movie.

"I've seen some. I've definitely seen my parts. I'm literally sworn to secrecy, but what I can say is expect something that would really make it worth your while," she teased.

The British songwriter went on to say that she appreciated taking a break from music to film "Fifty Shades of Grey."

"Doing the movie was probably one of the best things ever, being in Vancouver, getting out of the music and just making it work was really good," she said.

She added that she was surprised that the casting director gave her a shot since she had to tryout multiple times and was originally hoping just for a chance to work on the soundtrack.

"I did like eight auditions, so I thought I would never get it. It was incredible that it worked out," she said. "I approached them for a soundtrack, but it ended up with me being in the movie. I'm not going to complain."

Earlier this year, Ora shared a photo of herself on Instagram dressed in character as Mia. In the photo she is sporting a classic glamor look with her hair curled in platinum blonde vintage waves. She is also wearing a cropped black jacket and plunging black lace top. She captioned the pic, "Hey Vancouver..."

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 14, 2015.
