Cristina Yang achieved a major career milestone on the latest episode of "Grey's Anatomy."

The latest episode opens with Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) talking in a bed together, meaning the longtime friends have reconciled, for the most part. Meredith is at Cristina's because she finds out that Cristina has been nominated for the coveted Harper Avery Award.

Later, at Meredith's suggestion, the hospital toasts Christina's crowning achievement. Yet, Cristina doesn't want to talk about it, saying she hasn't actually won anything yet.

While she hasn't yet received the award, gaining national recognition has some perks. Owen (Kevin McKidd) is able to gain access to a cutting-edge development by dropping Cristina's name to the FDA.

They secure a special heart pump, which Cristina uses to save her young patient, Link. She performs the procedure successfully, and Link is stabilized.

Later, Derek (Patrick Dempsey) finds that his wife is secretly jealous of her best friend's achievements, but is putting on a happy face.

While everyone is congratulating Cristina over her nomination for the prestigious award, Richard (James Pickens Jr.) points out that other doctors are also doing miraculous work. Meredith is about to perform the first HIV positive to HIV positive kidney transplant in the state, and Derek and Callie (Sara Ramirez) are continuing brain/robotics research.

Meanwhile, Callie and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) both come to the realization--separately--that they want another child, and Alex (Justin Chamber) expresses interest in joining a private practice.

Owen and Cristina also share some alone time together, reminiscing over their past, and toasting to her professional present and future.

On the next episode, "Go It Alone," "Cristina enlists Meredith to help her prepare an acceptance speech for her possible Harper Avery win and while Owen offers to attend the ceremony with her, she insists on going alone. Meanwhile, Derek feels overwhelmed between his responsibilities at home and at the hospital. April and Jackson come to a disagreement on children and religion, and Callie and Arizona try to reconnect in their marriage."
