Spring 2014 Flashback: 4 Runway Hairstyles to Try This Season

By Yara Simón| Feb 22, 2014

Fall 2014 runway shows are still going on strong, but let's take a second to look at the hairstyles that will be hot this upcoming season. Drawing inspiration from the Spring 2014 shows, here are the styles to try when warmer weather comes:

Rachel Zoe: Start with wavy hair, and divide the front and the back of the hair from ear to ear. Do a very loose French braid on the bottom half of the hair and tie. Then release the top section, which you should slightly tease and hairspray. Separate the hair into three sections. And starting from the side, you can roll the hair backward and pin it to the top of the French braid. Repeat with the other two sections. There should be pieces of hair dangling in front of the braid, which you will then make mini braids out of. Massage the braids to give it that messy look. Finish by tucking the braids into the bigger French braid.

Valentino: This Valentino hairstyle gives the ponytail a romantic touch. Start off with a thick headband. The defining details are a middle part and the fact that hair is covering the ears. But this style can be tweaked in many different ways to still look as fun.

Anna Sui: This Spring 2014 hairstyle is fairly easy. Start with beach waves, which you can create with a flat iron. Make sure the iron is not too hot because it will make the curls look dented. Place a section of the hair in the iron, and then fold it backward away from your face for a few seconds. You'll have to do it a few times down the hair. After that, all you need is a floral crown.

Issey Miyake: Start by combing the hair backward. Separate into three sections, with the middle section being the largest. The sides will be backcombed and then French twisted. Release the middle section and it will just sit between the other two sections.
