Tiger Woods - Lindsey Vonn News: Pro Skier Has Fun in Austria Without Tiger

By Staff Reporter| Jul 13, 2013

Olympic Gold Medalist Lindsey Vonn recently enjoyed a weekend off to spend some time with friends and co-athletes in Austria. The pro alpine ski racer was a guest at the Sport and Talk weekend at Hangar 7 at Salzburg.

Vonn shared her weekend of fun to her more than 200,000 followers on Twitter and close to 65,000 Instagram followers as she tweeted an image of her enjoying with athlete friends, followed by the caption, "Had fun last night in Hangar 7 for Sport and Talk. Good to see some friendly faces from the world cup again :)"

Accomplished mountain skier, Chris Davenport, also echoed Vonn's enjoyment at the event. One of the top skiers in North America, Davenport tweeted: "Lots of big boy toys at #RedBull #hangar7 in Salzburg. Race cars, helis, planes, motos, and spacemen..." followed by an Instagram image.

Visibly absent from the event was Vonn's boyfriend, Tiger Woods. But it doesn't mean the two have called it quits already.

Vonn and Woods have been under the media microscope after the pro golfer's missteps with her former wife Elin Nordegren, admitting to infidelity.

However, it seems that everything is going well for the two athlete love birds.

In an interview with the New York Times last June, Vonn said she is very happy with Tiger.

"I'm very happy. Things are great," she shared. "It's worth it."

She also added that since announcing they were a couple over four months ago, people have always linked her with the golfer.

"Some people seem to forget that I'm not just Tiger's girlfriend," Vonn noted to NY Times. "I'm actually a successful athlete. I'm Lindsey. I have my own career and my own life."

"Most things are very normal, but something like going out to dinner is next to impossible," she said. "Unless he wore a wig, I think he'd be recognized anywhere."

And as for rumors, Vonn had this to say:

"I see other things written. But I don't care. I learned a while ago from my divorce that my happiness is the most important thing. That's all I can control. And right now, I'm happy."
