Timothy Bradley Confident About Chances in Rematch With Manny Pacquiao April 12

Timothy Bradley (31-0, 12 KOs) expressed excitement over his upcoming rematch with Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KOs) on April 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev.

While Pacquiao is aching to avenge his defeat in their first meeting in June 2012, Bradley will look to prove that his victory in their first fight was no fluke despite being labeled as one of the most controversial boxing matches in recent years.

In an interview with Fighthype, the undefeated Bradley said he believes that he can handle Pacquiao in their upcoming rematch, adding that he will get all the credit for winning against the former pound-for-pound king, unlike in their first showdown.

"I think that I can basically redeem from what the first fight I didn't get. In this fight, I can get all the credit for beating Pacquiao this time. I didn't get no credit for the first fight. A lot of people, a lot of spectators, a lot of fans felt that I didn't deserve it; that I didn't win the fight," Bradley said.

Boxing experts and fight fans were convinced that Bradley was clearly dominated by Pacquiao in their first fight, in which he won the WBO welterweight title with a surprising split-decision victory.

WBO reviewed the bout and decided that Pacquiao should have been awarded a unanimous decision win. The decision was not reversed, though, because the WBO has no right to change the outcome of the bout.

Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum also blasted the decision, and asked the Nevada State Attorney General to conduct an investigation.

But in their upcoming rematch, Bradley is confident that the result will not be questioned since he will go all out to beat Pacquiao—this time, convincingly.

"I don't know when it's going to click in peoples' mind, but it's no different, man. At the end of the day, my hand will be raised and I will be victorious, man. Once again, I will be victorious, man, and I'm gonna beat Pacquiao," Bradley declared.

The 30-year-old Bradley is coming off a split-decision win over Juan Manuel Marquez in October, while Pacquiao snapped his two-match losing skid with a dominating win over Brandon Rios in November.
