'Grey's Anatomy' Season 10 Episode 13 Spoilers: Jesse Williams Says April's Decision Will be 'Difficult'

By Jessica Michele Herring | Jan 20, 2014

"Grey's Anatomy" fans are eagerly awaiting the next episode to see if April will leave Matthew at the altar and get back together with Jackson.

Jesse Williams, who plays the role of Jackson, told TVGuide that the decision will be difficult, no matter who she chooses.

"It's incredibly tense and there are going to be a lot of regrets either way," Williams said.

Williams also said that Jackson will face new career challenges in addition to relationship struggles. "He is really going to have to find a balance between his personal relationships and his bias and the fact that the Avery Foundation runs everything, but he's very junior to some of the other attendings," Williams said.

TVLine also teased that there are new, potentially permanent sets in the second half of the season, one of which will be a part of a major story arc later on in the season for one couple. Something will also occur in Episode 15 that will require Jessica Capshaw, who plays Arizona, to have a stunt double.

But fans will not get to see the President, who phoned Derek (Patrick Dempsey) in the last episode about working on a presidential initiative on brain mapping. The POTUS will remain an off-camera presence in the future.

On the last episode before the show's hiatus, April made the walk down the aisle-- but everything didn't go exactly as planned.

In "Get Up Stand Up," Cristina (Sandra Oh) makes medical history with a pioneering new surgery. The medical community is all abuzz with her praises, and she is busy going on photo shoots and press conferences. Although she is getting so many accolades, she is tensing up in front of the cameras because her procedure actually failed, but her patient is still alive, and she cannot explain why.

Alex (Justin Chambers) works things out with his father Jimmy (James Remar), but Jimmy is now desperately clinging to life. While Alex is at the wedding, Jimmy's condition worsens, and Shane (Gaius Charles) decides to operate with no attendings present.

Richard (James Pickens Jr.) tries to the do damage control after Shane botches the surgery, but Jimmy's condition is not revealed at episode's end.

The episode also revealed why Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) cheated on Callie (Sara Ramirez). Arizona met Lauren after her accident, and Lauren found her attractive, even missing one of her legs. Arizona was worried that Callie wouldn't like her in her present condition.

Cristina and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) finally made amends before April (Sarah Drew) and Matthew (Justin Bruening) walked down the aisle. It turns out that Cristina feels alone, and Meredith is jealous that Cristina can pursue her career goals.

Alex then practically proposes to Jo (Camilla Luddington), saying he wants to stay with her forever.

The wedding itself is a picturesque, trendy barn wedding, and seems to be going smoothly until Jackson confesses his love to April in front of everyone in attendance, including his current girlfriend.

When "Grey's" returns at the end of February, viewers will find out April's answer to Jackson, and the complicated saga of Arizona and Callie will continue.

The next episode airs Thursday, Feb. 27 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
