Bethenny Frankel Unapologetic for Racist Remark Against Latinos on Twitter

Last week, "Real Housewives of New York" star Bethenny Frankel went to Kmart to find herself facing Latinos at the cash register. She went on a Twitter rant about the chain's Latino employees, saying, "Wow @Kmart has 2 registers open w 5 other employees standing around & two speak no English whatsoever. Shoes are sapatos right?"

To no surprise, Latina noted that she received a lot of backlash for her racist comments, but this did not seem to faze her. Instead, she defended herself by saying, "My Twitter and Instagram speaks for itself. I'm not a celebrity that tries to please everybody and I don't need everybody to like me."

She went on to say, "I just need them to know that I'm telling them the truth and my perspective. I definitely start fires in my own fireplace."

This is not the first time that she shared how dismissive she is about other people's opinion of her. She also told Us Weekly that she knows people don't always love her, even acknowledging the fact that some of them may even hate her. However, even that won't hold her and her tongue back. She said at her Skinnygirl candy launch in New York, "I would never be one of those celebrities that just wants to please everybody and wants to say exactly what everybody wants to hear and tiptoes around. If you want to hear my opinion, go on Instagram or Twitter and it's there. You don't have to agree with me."

While she does come across as racist, Frankel is all about women empowerment, being a self-made businesswoman herself. Her Skinnygirl line is known best for its line of diet booze and wine.

During the unveiling of her new Candy Line on Tuesday in New York, Fox News noted that she showcased health-conscious candy, ranging from chocolate-covered almonds to mints. The goal of these products, she said, is to avoid deprivation while maintaining control. She shared with Metro, "I don't believe in talking about weight loss or dieting or anything in the house. It's all about balance and not having noise around food, especially with kids."

She's nowhere near stopping, either. Despite already producing a slew of products from popcorn to coffee to cocktails and protein shakes, she said that they're still thinking up ways to reach out to women. She said, "We're thinking of everything. We're thinking of women...We're not stopping."

Can Frankel's will for women empowerment mask the fact that she has a low tolerance of Latino employees at a chain store?
