Former Guatemalan Beauty Queen Dies in Hail of Bullets, Police Ignore her Cries for Help

Former Guatemalan beauty queen, Helen Lopez Roblero, died after the car she was riding in was hailed with bullets in Malacatan. However, the victim was still seen breathing and asking for help, but police failed to help her.

Mirror Online reported enforcers sadly snubbed the women's cries for aid as she was helplessly lying in the vehicle's backseat, badly wounded, and covered with blood. She was in the car together with her two friends, who also didn't survive.

It has been said that the attack in the southwestern town on the Mexican-Guatemalan border was intentional and well planned. In fact, in the recorded footage from the scene of the crime, it was seen that the police didn't do anything to help Roblero as she pleaded for help.

As a result, Guatemala's public ministry started an investigation to see if the allegations about the respondent officers were really true. The graphic video was recorded by a witness, who took the shots just minutes after the attack, which showed Roblero, saying: "Help me" a number of times.

The police, on the other hand, lit the inside of the car to check the bloody carcasses. Roblero, then, was taken to the nearest hospital, but was unfortunately announced dead on arrival because of her inflicted wounds.

Furthermore, the clip also showed the other two riders in the driver's and passenger's seat, who were still wearing their seatbelts and bathing in their own blood. A woman's body was seen lying in the backseat, with officers claiming there were more than 100 bullets spotted in the area, according to Daily Mail.

Roblero's female friend named Alicia Carias, together with a man known as Edwin Esturban, were also found dead, while as another male passenger, Jose Lopez Castanon, outlived the tragic event. The police are now looking for the culprits responsible for the killings, but they believe that everything was cleanly organized.

As everyone knows, the country has one of the highest murder rates in the world, and that crimes like this are not surprising. Local media claimed that the shooting was planned by big-time drug traffickers in town, but no criminals have been caught yet.

Meanwhile, the Central American country has been known for extensive killings that happen every 90 minutes, Daily Mail added. As a matter of fact, human body parts are often scattered around public places, serving as a bloody warning to everyone that their home is controlled by these gangs.
