HTC One X9 Announced: Dual-Sim Flagship to Come With BoomSound Speakers [Specs, Features & Price]

On Christmas Eve, HTC introduced its new handset called the One X9, which is considered to be an upgraded version of the one A9.

India Today reported that despite the comparison, the One X9 does not sport the physical home button where the fingerprint scanner is located. Its price is also lower than the A9.

Discussing the offerings of the newly announced device, the same report mentioned that it comes with a 5.5-inch FullHD display and a 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor.

It is also expected to have 3 GB of RAM and a PowerVR G6200 GPU.

As for memory, the internal capacity of the handset is 32 GB but this can still be expandable using a microSD card of up to 2TB.

"The dual-SIM phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Sense UI and supports 4G LTE connectivity," added India Today.

A similar Engadget report discussed that the main camera of this new phone is at 13 megapixels with optical stabilisation and a dual-tone flash.

For those who love to listen to music using their mobile devices, the X9 is also equipped with a dual front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers offering users the best audio experience.

Costing around $370, the new HTC device has a dual-sim feature, 4G LTE Support and the Bluetooth v4.1, according to NDTV Gadgets.

Users can also be sure that they will not run out of battery when using the device since it has a 3000mAh battery support. This is expected to give users 15 hours of talk time, 10 hours of video playback and about 40 hours of audio playback.

Other notable features of the X9 also includes a magnetic sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, compass and a gyroscope, as per NDTV Gadgets.

This phone has been rumored to come out as early as November even prior to the release of the A9 during the same month.

It came with a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD AMOLED display and an 8-core Snapdragon 617 processor with 2GB of RAM.

GottaBeMobile added that other specifications of the earlier released device included the following:

- Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a revised HTC Sense UI

- All aluminum design with Gorilla Glass 4 covering the display

- Fingerprint scanner like the Galaxy S6

- Improved Audio with built-in amplifier for improved sound

- 2,150 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 coming in a future update

The same report claimed that one of the major observations of users was the removal of the "UltraPixel" camera on the back of the previous HTC One M9 phone.
