Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 owners on Verizon's network can look forward to receiving a nice new software update, and while it's not Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, it does bring two new Samsung apps.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 update, software version JZ054K.I925VRAMK1, should begin rolling out soon, and when it does, Galaxy Note 10.1 owners will be able to snag it over the air.

The update will bring Samsung's WatchON and S Educate apps and make them default, irremovable features. WatchON allows users to view TV shows, utilize their tablet as a remote, and even get personalized recommendations based on viewing history.

S Educate, meanwhile, gives Galaxy Note 10.1 users access to Khan Academy's library of 4,400 tutorial videos, helps prepare for standardized tests, and creates lesson plans.

You can find the full changelog detailing the upcoming content over at Verizon.

There's still no word on when Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will land on the Galaxy Note 10.1.

Let us know if the Verizon update has landed on your Galaxy Note 10.1, where you're located, and whether you find the two new apps useful in the comments section below.
