'Star Wars: Episode 8' Cast, Trailer & Release Date: Mark Hamill Reveals Luke Skywalker's Future? [Spoilers]

Did "Star Wars" original cast member Mark Hamill just reveal Luke Skywalker's fate in the Star Wars Extended Universe?

This seems so after the actor playing the famous protagonist of the intergalactic epic saga posted on Twitter how he did not shave, which was required in the role.

"Last shaved on 10/22 after final day of my 2nd #TheFlash (which airs 12/8 #XmasTrix), just in time for Ep VIII-whew!" his post read, referring to his return in the CW TV series "The Flash" as the "Trickster."

While this may seem anything other than news, fans as well as media outlets like Cinema Blend consider this a big spoiler for "Star Wars: Episode VIII" where Luke Skywalker apparently would appear with a face full of beard.

"We may not know exactly what Mark Hamill will be doing in Star Wars: Episode VII but whatever it is we can now be confident that whatever it is, he's going to continue to do it in Episode VIII. Also, he's keeping the beard," the report read.

Aside from that, this is the first confirmation from the actor himself that his character is indeed still part of the extended Star Wars franchise even if he is mysteriously absent from promotional materials for "The Force Awakens."

Because of this, the rumor mill continued churning speculations of Luke either remaining a protagonist or appearing as a villain.

There were also apparent spoilers about Luke's fate from those who claimed to have seen the final cut cited in Old Cat Lady, stating that the character would appear at the end of the film as Rey's (Daisy Ridley) father.

According to the website, Rey and Luke would meet at the latter part of "The Force Awakens" with Rey's extreme sensitivity to The Force.

In that scene, Luke Skywalker would reveal to the female Jakku scavenger that he is her father and the two reminisce in what the site described as "a modern reimagining of one of the most classic Star Wars scenes of all time."

After that, he reveals Rey's fate which reportedly is to become the lightsaber-wielding heroine who has overwhelming connection with The Force.

These, however, have yet to be confirmed by no less than the movie itself which is due in theaters on December 18 starring Hamill, Ridley, Harrison Ford, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Carrie Fisher.
