"Wonder Woman" movie star Gal Gadot shares mysterious images over the social media showing her in costume as the Amazonian princess as the DC Cinematic Universe continues to expand over the borders of Batman-Superman movies.

A Twitter post from the actress rocked the Internet over the weekend because it shows the actress suited up as the famed female superhero, captioned: "Almost 75 years in the making... #WonderWoman is underway."

This post confirms that the solo flick for the DC heroine is already in the works and that Gadot is as excited as most fans about it.

While this may not be the first image of Princess Diana of Themyscira that surfaced over the Internet, it definitely is definitely awesome and mysterious in some ways with the heroine clad in a thick cloak.

In fact, Cinema Blend considers this photo "pretty great" considering how long it has taken the movie industry to see market value in the DC heroine.

"The 75 years that Gal Gadot mentions in her Tweet is presumably a reference to the amount of time that it's taken for Wonder Woman to finally star in her own film - though her math is a bit off given that the character made her first appearance in December 1941," the outlet explained.

But of course, considering that the movie is not due in theaters until 2017, the actress' calculations is a little off though that does not matter much as long as the film would still push through.

Based on a most recent update from IGN, "Wonder Woman" would be starring Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis and Chris Pine who would portray Wonder Woman's love interest, USAF pilot Steve Trevor.

According to the outlet, rumors say that Wright would be taking the role that was originally offered to Nicole Kidman while Huston would be taking over the role that was supposed to be played by Sean Bean.

Directing the Warner Bros. movie is Patty Jenkins who is best known for her work in the 2003 flick "Monster."

Other members of the creative team include "Game of Thrones" director of photography Matthew Jensen, "Pan" production designer Aline Bonetto, "V for Vendetta" editor Martin Walsh) and award-winning "The Dark Knight" trilogy costume designer Lindy Hemming.

Gadot would be debuting as Wonder Woman in next year's "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" starring Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.

"Wonder Woman" is pegged with an initial release date of June 23, 2017.
