It comes as no surprise that Ryan Murphy's "American Horror Story" anthology has been renewed for yet another season.

Announced by CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions John Landgraf, the yet-to-be-titled sixth installment will begin airing in 2016.

Landgraf said in a statement,"With the sixth installment coming next year, 'American Horror Story' has unquestionably joined the ranks of television's landmark series. From Murder House to Hotel, AHS has pioneered a new television form as well becoming FX's highest rated show -- while also pushing every conceivable boundary of creative excellence and audacity."

He went on, "This is even more remarkable because Ryan and co-creator Brad Falchuk tear up the playbook every year, challenging the entire creative team to come up with something even more spectacular, frightful and entertaining. You could not ask more of an artist, their team or a series and with every new installment they deliver."

There is no news about the theme yet. As The Hollywood Reporter Pointed out, creator Ryan Murphy has always been quiet about details for his upcoming seasons, save for the news about Lady Gaga joining in the ranks of actors and actresses in the anthology.

E! News reported that Murphy has already officially asked Gaga back for another season, Tweetingin October that "Lady Gaga is so brilliant in AHS Season 5 that yesterday I officially asked her to join Season 6. He also added, "Say yes @ladygaga!"

However, it's not yet sure whether or not she said "Yes" to Murphy, because as she explained to E! News, she shared, "I think I'd like to do like one great acting project a year. I think one a year would be great."

She did share that she's happy with where she's at these days. Gaga shared, I'm happier than I've ever been now because the people that I work with really, really care that my life is different and really, really work to make sure that I feel as normal as possible so that I can have a great time and just be a normal girl, and just be a woman for Ryan on film, or you know, a hemophiliac."

Hopefully that means she's up for another season.

Season five, titled "Hotel", is currently airing, studded with stars including Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Chloe Sevigny,Denis O'Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock.

E! News noted in a separate article that the previous four seasons has had the show nominated in the Emmys a total of 71 times, and has gathered 13 wins. Jessica Lange, who starred in the first four seasons took two of those Emmys herself.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" is currently airing on FX at 10PM on Wednesdays.
