HTC One M10 Release Date, News & Rumors: Key Specs Leaked!

By Staff Reporter| Nov 11, 2015

HTC is currently rumored to be working on a brand new smartphone, the HTC One M10. Should rumors are to be believed, the phone should be released by the first half of 2016.

The HTC One M10 will reportedly be loaded with impressive specs, most notably Qualcomm 82x series that is currently undergoing some rigorous testing. The brand's upcoming flagship phone will also have an outstanding 27-megapixel front and rear camera, and will feature 4GB of RAM, dual-SIM support, two speakers, touch ID fingerprint scanner and a 3,500 mAh battery, a report with Crossmap says.

The said features are already a step up from HTC's previous flagship, the HTC One M9. There are already leaked pictures of the rumored phone that have been circulating around the internet, as per a report with Tech Times. The website says thar 2016 wil be a make or break year for the brand. The company suffered in sales with the M8 which had consumers complain of a weak camera, despite the brand's loyal fanbase. However, the M9 was a huge letdown for many, so the HTC One M10 would take the brand forward into the right direction.

There will be nothing but major upgrades on the upcoming flagship phone with impressive features such as a massive display size is expected to be big, featuring a 6-inch screen, although HTC will most likely be releasing a smaller 5-inch version for people who find big scale screens to be intimidating. Rumors also say that the display screen will sport 4K resolution, but it is more likely that the HTC One M10 will get a 1,440 x 2,560 display resolution.

The HTC One M10 will reportedly be the next Android smartphone to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow fresh out of the box, as opposed to other smartphones who run on Android Lollipop. The flagship phone is also expected to have a USB Type-C port, which comes to no surprise since the newest flagships have shown to support the newest USB standard.

Should the rumors are to be believed, the HTC One M10 is already shaping up to be a contender for the best phones of 2016. HTC is taking drastic measures to make up for the upcoming flagship's failings.

HTC is looking to boost sales with the release of the newest flagship phone. The company suffered in sales this year, with a $139 million net loss for the third quarter of 2015. This has not fared well in the Taiwanese brand's numbers.

HTC has not confirmed the rumors. Expect updates on the HTC One M10 soon.
