A Lithuanian man found a baby deer in his backyard near the Yellowstone National Park in the U.S. but, unfortunately, one of the two new born doe had a broken leg. The buck was left behind as she had a hard time to tail his family because of her injury.

The outdoorsman Darius Sasnauskas witnessed the birth of the two baby deer but the doe left without its calf. According to Bored Panda, he decided to take the little animal home for she's too frail to be abandoned.

"With so many predators around, she had no chance to survive on her own," he wrote on his video. "I do not support keeping wild animals as pets, but this was [a] special situation."

Darius uploaded the 17-minute video on YouTube that showed his bonding with the little calf. The clip also revealed the white tail deer struggling to keep pace with her mother and sibling outside his home.

Then he created a leg brace made from an oatmeal box to support her broken leg and to help her walk again, 9news.com.au reported. The footage documented the deer's recovery and quickly gone viral.

The fawn evidently recuperates under his care and even made friend with his other pets as he introduced her to his dogs and cats. It was also seen that she became really close to Darius as she planted kisses and licks on his face, Metro News cited.

Bored Panda added that Darius fed the calf every four hours and his canine was spotted taking care of her, too. Fortunately, she learned to walk again and he decided to bring her home to her mom.

"She's already used to me and she follows me...but nobody can replace her real mom," he said. "I'm going to see if I can find some deer, a doe, who would be looking for her fawn," he added while he was walking holding his camera.

However, the fawn doesn't want to leave her human as Darius tried to release her back to the wild but she always returned to him. He even tried to lie with the herd of deer to find her mother and run away quickly but still, she doesn't want to leave his side.

Finally, one evening the mother doe showed up and the deer was reunited with her family. "Finally one evening the mom showed up, and we were able to release the baby to her, unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me," he said.
