Dessert Recipes: 5 Treats Made Out of Halloween Candy

By Jonnalyn Cortez| Oct 23, 2015

Halloween is coming just a week from now! And, as the tradition goes, everyone is too busy preparing for the spooky season; whether it's decorating their houses, buying costumes, arranging parties and, of course -- shopping candies.

Halloween won't be complete without these sweets. Every child are now excited to do their trick and treat, knocking on every doors, wearing their scariest outfits and asking for candies while holding their colorful pumpkin tubs.

But, what if these kids just got too many candies that they themselves are fed up of eating. That won't be a problem anymore! As they said, there is always a room for everything -- especially for desserts.

There is another way to satisfy one's sweet tooth by using these leftover candies as an ingredient to dessert. Gummy bears, chocolate wafers and many more can have a different twist by adding them in a meal.

Here are the five treats that will recreate the leftover Halloween candies; giving them a new life but will still ends in one's tummy.

To top it all, Bustle started with Gummy Bear Sangria from My Name is Yeh. This gummy bear infused drink put a twist to the traditional cocktail from Spain and Portugal.

"I like using wine that's not too sweet, since there's already a lot of sugar involved with the fruit, fruit juice, and gummy bears," said Molly, the creator.

Next is Candy Corn Blondies by Averie Cooks. This may look like e a typical cookie but a perfect meal for the Halloween.

Averie described it as: "super soft, slightly chewy, and buttery. The candy corn stays chewy after it's baked and the contrast of the dense, moist, tender bars against the chewy candy corn is great."

Third on the list is Peanut Butter Nutella Candy Bar Brownie by How Sweet It Is. By its look alone, this snack will make anyone who'll see it drool.

The combination of the most delicious chocolates ever existed are here. "It's absolutely fabulous and delicious and a gooey, fudgy nutella explosion that I want to eat every single day," Jessica, the baker said.

BuzzFeed added two more desserts to make everyone crave for chocolates and wishing they can go trick-or-treating tomorrow.
