The Honest Company vs Goop? Here's What Jessica Alba Thinks of Gwyneth Paltrow Comparison

Jessica Alba has taken a stand against people comparing her to Gwyneth Paltrow.

The two actresses are being pitted against each other for their business ventures: Alba for the Honest Company and Paltrow for Goop. The "Sin City" star couldn't tolerate the comparisons anymore, deciding to address the matter in Allure's September issue and touched on the subject of feminism.

"What I think is unfair is to lump actresses together," Alba, 34, explained to the magazine. "People aren't lumping Justin Timberlake and Ashton Kutcher together. They do other businesses. I think it's expected that when you get success in one area, you're supposed to evolve and try to do something else-especially in business, and especially if you're a man."

The Honest Company, which is co-founded by Christopher Gavigan, manufactures eco-friendly and non-toxic consumer goods, which includes bath and body products, diapers, feminine care, detergent, formula products, and vitamins, the organization listed.

Goop, on the other hand, is a weekly lifestyle publication curated by Paltrow, 42, that features advice and recommendations for healthy recipes, products, and travel destinations, according to the company's official site.

Alba, who has appeared in films such as 2005's "Fantastic Four" and this year's "Barely Lethal," told Allure magazine that she is picky when it comes to acting roles.

"I never wanted to play into a stereotype, where it's like, 'Oh, you're just the girl who gets saved by the guy,' and she doesn't know how to make decisions, and she gets overwhelmed with all this stuff happening around her," she told the publication. "Women are freaking resilient."

Alba also touched on refusing doing onscreen nudity in her films. According to the actress, baring her body in movies is going to "exploit" her for "no reason," Allure noted.

"If there's a role where I feel comfortable doing that, sure. It's just I never felt like being naked was going to make the movie any better," she told the magazine. Alba also refers to acting in the past tense now, given how dedicated she is to working on the Honest Company.

As for who helped her in her entrepreneurial venture, Alba credits her husband, producer Cash Warren, for her achievements. The two are parents to Honor, 7, and Haven, 4.

"He helped me put together my initial business plan," Alba revealed, as quoted by Allure magazine. "He was always my biggest cheerleader but never gave me unrealistic expectations and never criticized me so much where I felt defeated. Having someone who genuinely has your back, no matter what, there's nothing like that.... It's a real unconditional love.... The partner that you choose to go through life with you, that's your chosen family."
